In-school sessions

New for 2008 the London Rockets Coaching Team are offering in-school sessions for budding school based cheerleaders.

We successfully introduced cheerleading to several school groups last year and this year will be taking the sessions forward with regular after school practices.

We also work with new university squads and other start up teams.

  2. Hi my name is Judy. I do gymnastics and I used to do after school lessons in my school for younger pupils. i would be very interested if you would like to offer to teach cheerleading at my school. I go to Hampstead School in NW London and a lot of kids in my school dont really take part in a lot of sport so an after school session in cheerleading would be great! I think it would definately bring more kids into PE and sports a lot more.

    thanks

  3. Hi

Thanks for stopping by and asking about in-school sessions.

Here are a few ways in which you can get cheerleading classes in your school.

    1. Approach your teacher with a list of people that you know want to do cheerleading - make sure each of you has agreed with parents/guardians that you may be home late on the agreed weeknight.

    2. Ask your teacher (if they agree) to email us at cheerleadingrocks@googlemail.com and we’ll see what days and times we can get a coach to come and do an introduction session with you - if it’s successful and everyone agrees to commit, we may be able to help you set up your own squad.

Look forward to hearing from you,

Where is Petchey Academy? Is it in London? Send me an email to cheerleadingrocks@googlemail.com and I’ll see what we can do.

If you’re over 18 you might also like to tryout out for the London Rockets this July.
